Parents as Teachers

This post is also available in: Spanish

Maybe you’re one of the many new parents who were overwhelmed when your little one arrived. Or maybe you were comfortable caring for an infant, but are baffled as that lovable bundle becomes a babbling baby bursting to learn everything she can about her world.

There’s help. Parents as Teachers is a program that provides in-home assistance to parents of young children up to age 5. Participants learn techniques to help their child develop social, emotional, language, intellectual and physical skills. In addition to in-home visits, Parents as Teachers also provide developmental and health screenings, group events and networking.

There is no cost to parents.
